Mindful in May – Pause for a Cause

Mindful in May

Yeah… I’ve never been good at meditation. Which is interesting because my mum is all over it like white on rice. I guess a lot of it is that I don’t have the patience for it. And I definitely don’t have the time for it.

But wait a minute, it’s been proven (like, scientifically proven) that 30 minutes of meditation a day can:

  • Lower your heart rate and boost circulation
  • Assist fertility
  • Help with insomnia
  • Reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety
  • Boost brain power

I mean, even doctors are referring patients to do it. And yet I still tell myself that I “don’t have time” to meditate. Sometimes I’m utterly ridiculous.

As little as 10 minutes a day has been found to have health benefits. (Credit)

My way of combatting this is by joining Mindful in May. Every day in May I’m going to meditate for 10 minutes. And not only will I be doing wonders for myself and my health, but hopefully I’ll raise a dollar or two for a cause that is close to my heart: free, clean water for all.

If you want to donate click here, join me click here (you’ll have to register etc…) or learn more click here. Are you up for the challenge? What have you got to lose???

Tiny change for the day: Join Mindful in May or take 15 minutes and do this guided meditation.
